Head of Operation Finance Director

Job Description

Our client is a leading international group seeking a Head of Operational Finance Director to oversee and strengthen financial operations across the MENA region. This is a senior leadership role that requires expertise in operational finance, compliance, and performance management within complex, multi-entity environments.

The role covers 6 fully owned offices, 5 affiliated countries, and 20+ legal entities across the Middle East and North Africa, supported by nearshore hubs in Lebanon and Egypt. The successful candidate will work closely with regional leadership to drive financial strategy, ensure compliance, and optimize performance in both high-growth and challenging markets.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and develop a geographically dispersed finance team of 20+ professionals.
• Build clear career pathways and succession plans, ensuring sustained leadership within the finance function.
• Oversee and optimize nearshore operations in Lebanon and Egypt for efficient financial and controllership support.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices across all MENA markets.
• Embed a culture of accountability, innovation, and adaptability to align with business needs.

Financial Planning & Performance Management

• Lead monthly reporting across 6 markets and 20+ legal entities.
• Monitor KPIs, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend strategies to optimize financial performance.

Operational Excellence & Controllership

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards across all entities.
• Drive efficiency through process improvement and technology adoption.
• Maintain strong internal controls and governance, mitigating risks and supporting sustainable growth.
• Manage external and tax audits across MENA.
• Enhance working capital management to improve cash flow and liquidity.

Ideal Profile

• 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience in multi-country, multi-entity operations.
• Strong knowledge of operational finance, controllership, and tax frameworks.
• Proven success in leading large, diverse teams in dynamic markets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in high-growth and hyperinflationary markets is an advantage.
