Senior Environmental Project Manager

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact environmental projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in managing international operations, coordinating with public administrations, and ensuring adherence to global standards and KPIs.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic oversight, and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving performance, sustainability, and innovation across a portfolio of large-scale environmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of large-scale environmental and city cleaning projects.
• Supervise and coordinate technical and administrative teams across multiple locations.
• Ensure full compliance with international standards, contract obligations, and defined KPIs.
• Oversee project risk management, issue resolution, and change control processes.
• Manage relationships with public sector stakeholders, including local and national authorities.
• Ensure effective communication and reporting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure project success.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies across operational processes.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering (required)
• Master’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in environmental or infrastructure management
• At least 7 years in project management, preferably in urban or public sector projects
• Project Management certification (PMP from PMI Institute or equivalent)
• Accredited by a recognized professional body in the field of environmental or engineering sciences
• Proven experience managing city cleaning or municipal environmental services projects
• Experience leading or participating in international projects, especially in Western countries
• Excellent skills in public administration coordination, policy implementation, and reporting
• Fluency in English.
