Job Description
Our client is expanding its project delivery and technical support capabilities for investment banking clients in the Gulf region. To support this growth, they are hiring an experienced Scrum Master to join their team abroad.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Agile delivery, strong communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to lead technical teams while ensuring effective collaboration with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
- Identify and remove impediments to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Define, plan, and execute project activities, scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate between internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Track risks, issues, and progress to maintain delivery quality.
- Serve as the bridge between technical and non-technical teams.
- Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and Agile reporting (velocity, burndown charts, etc.).
- Promote continuous improvement and uphold a servant-leadership mindset.
Core Requirements
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master delivering Agile projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing projects with defined scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Background in financial or payment systems (e.g., card issuance, processing, ePayment).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PMP or Agile Scrum Master certification.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira).
- Open to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in similar roles.
- Experience in backlog management and prioritization.
- Familiarity with Agile metrics and reporting practices.
- Strong technical background and understanding of technical project lifecycles.
- Exposure to scaling Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum@Scale, or Nexus).
- Skilled in conflict resolution and team motivation.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of complementary methodologies such as Kanban, XP, or DevOps.
- Additional Agile certifications (PSM II, SAFe Agilist, ICAgile, etc.).
