Job Description

Context:

Since 2021, a global enterprise has been implementing IT platforms to streamline application and data integration across its systems. As part of this initiative, its Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP) incorporates API management tools such as Mulesoft and Kong, alongside Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) using Solace to manage business events. The current objective is to enhance the platform by introducing a data streaming capability powered by a Kafka-based component.

Location: Beirut, Lebanon

Experience: 5 years +

Objectives:

  • Contribute to the technical roadmap and improvement plan for the Kafka-based platform
  • Define and implement recommendations and best practices
  • Technically integrate all required components for proper functioning (with support from HIP teams), including DevOps (with the CICD team) and observability tools
  • Establish and participate actively in Level 2 support (with Infosys) and Level 3 support (direct)
  • Manage component requirements and lifecycle: gather needs, populate backlog, prioritize, and monitor
  • Provide technical framing for each request
  • Define and track KPIs for the component

Deliverables:

Platform Setup and Technical Management:

  • Deliverable: Technical roadmap documentation (on Confluence)
  • Deliverable: Improvement plan (on Jira)
  • Deliverable: Technical design of generic platform components
  • Deliverable: CICD and observability tooling setup

Backlog Management (Product Owner role for technical event requests)

  • Deliverable: Jira tickets for request tracking, with weekly updates
  • Deliverable: Review and technical design of each data flow (in collaboration with the Solution Architect responsible for architectural design)
  • Deliverable: Proof of production deployment of data streams
  • Deliverable: Delivery KPIs (e.g., volume, Time-To-Market, etc.)

Platform Operations (“Run”)

  • Deliverable: Monthly KPI presentation on production tickets (L2 & L3), aligned with SLAs and platform status (availability, performance, etc.)
  • Deliverable: RCA (Root Cause Analysis) following crisis incidents
  • Deliverable: Support documentation and knowledge base

Community Engagement – Streaming

  • Deliverable: Best practice documentation and presentation workshops

Technology Environment:

  • Kafka (SaaS mode)
  • CICD Tools: GitLab, XLDeploy, Camunda
  • Office and Project Management Tools: Microsoft Suite, Confluence, Jira

Proposal Format:

This is a fixed-price engagement. The price is assumed to cover all mission-related costs.
The service provider must include in their proposal:

  • Team setup (profiles/seniority) and associated workload
  • Detailed timeline with key milestones
  • Any additional deliverables, if applicable
  • Preferred payment schedule
