Our client is a dynamic and growing IT company specializing in Groceries, Gifting & Beyond.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team and drive our financial strategy.

Job Summary:

The Commercial Director is responsible for leading the development and execution of the company’s sales strategy. This role involves understanding market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to drive sales, secure customers, and achieve commercial traction.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales roles within the start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and execution of the company’s sales strategy.
  • Investigate customer needs and match them with our software features, leading to market opportunities.
  • Assess and prioritize market segments, develop pricing and channel strategies, and guide product development efforts.
  • Generate awareness and excitement for the company’s vision and products.
  • Convince decision-makers and the wider ecosystem of the unique benefits offered by our solutions.
  • Secure and perform sales by ensuring the generation and engagement of leads through various activities.
  • Nurture and build customer portfolios, securing sales traction.
  • Establish effective KPI reporting to monitor and optimize sales performance.
  • Ensure all functions of the organization are aligned to meet the strategic objectives outlined in the overall sales plan.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a similar senior role, within a start-up environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales strategy and business development.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, build customer portfolios, and secure sales.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in e-shopping and startup environment
