Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Product Owner (PO) works within an Agile Squad to bridge the gap between the stakeholders and the development team. This role ensures alignment between the product vision and actionable development tasks, playing a vital part in refining and delivering solutions that meet business goals. The PRODUCT OWNER oversees current delivery efforts while also participating in the discovery and planning phases for upcoming cycles, ensuring the product roadmap aligns seamlessly with evolving business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivery Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with the Stakeholders:
  1. Serve as a central communication link between the mission team and the Stakeholders to convey business goals and priorities.
  2. Break down high-level business objectives into detailed user stories and actionable deliverables for the development team.
  • Backlog Management:
  1. Refining and prioritizing the product backlog to align with current and future business needs.
  2. Adjust backlog items regularly based on feedback and evolving business requirements.
  • Output Acceptance:
  1. Review completed work, accepting or rejecting it based on acceptance criteria and the definition of done.
  2. Ensure each product increment meets quality standards and aligns with business goals at the end of each sprint.

Discovery Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the stakeholders to outline potential new features, improvements, and opportunities for the next cycle.
  • Lead discovery workshops with stakeholders, UX designers, or BI experts as needed, gathering insights on user feedback and upcoming feature needs.
  • Document insights and prepare the backlog by translating findings into epics, user stories, and technical requirements.
  • Engage continuously with business and technical teams to validate feasibility, ensuring discovery aligns with the product roadmap and technical constraints.

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years as a Product Owner, ideally with significant exposure to employee-driven IT products.
  • Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, adept at translating business needs into actionable requirements, and experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Language: French speaker.
