Scope of Work:

The Safety & Security Manager holds the responsibility to ensure Data Centers occupants are working

within a safe and secure environment. This role involves assessing and mitigating risks, developing and

enforcing safety & security policies, and coordinating emergency response efforts ensuring physical

security, access control, and compliance with safety & security standards and regulations. The person in

this position will be conducting regular audits and ensuring that the staff is trained in security and safety

protocols.

Required Skills:

• Experience in law enforcement & Rescue training

• Proven ability to manage emergencies and de-escalate conflicts.

• Experience preferred in training individuals in safety and security policies and procedures

• Communication Skills: Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret information relevant to the position,

and to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.

• Strong Leadership

• Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Proficient in MS office

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Documenting and reporting skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Always maintains a calm attitude and sense of control

• Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information

• Legal & moral integrity

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Disaster & Emergency

Management, Military Science, or a related field.

Training and Certifications:

the primary Training and certifications preferred for the Safety & Security Manager include:

• Training in law enforcement.

• Security Certification

• Fire Safety Certification.

• First aid certification.

After being hired and to accomplish efficiently required duties & responsibilities, S&S Manager should

acquire the below required trainings:

• Concept of Operation & Maintenance.

• Facility Management Policies & Procedures

Years of Experience:

5 to 7 years of relevant experience in safety & security management.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Adhere to Data Center policies and procedures in addition to industry standards and Health and safety rules.

·        Ensure adherence to all facility policies and procedures for the Safety & Security team

·         Ensure safety and security policies and access procedures are followed at all time

·        Establish and maintain a safe environment through leadership and safety programs

·        Accountable for site and assets security.

·        Accountable for ensuring proper security checks and screening for personnel entering the facility

·        Accountable for maintaining security records for CCTV and Access Control, and material deliveries.

·        Ensure safety and security team are fully qualified for the job and maintain record for training and qualifications

·        Ensure life safety and emergency response drills are performed on time and recorded accordingly

·        Coordinate with local police and fire department.

·        Accountable for vendors and visitors’ escort.

·        Perform any needed change to security documents or security assets

·        Maintain an extensive knowledge of safety and security systems

·        Play a key role in crisis management and emergency situations

·        Manage the Emergency Response Plan, including yearly updates, additions, reviews and staff assignments

·        Ensure Staff and DC operations stakeholders are fully aware and trained on the Emergency Response

·        Plan to include, but not limited to, knowledge of emergency response protocols, assembly points and reunification procedures

·        Lead the investigations into violations and incidents related to safety & security

·        Direct the deployment of emergency response personnel to incidents

·        Accountable for the Life Safety at the facility, responding to a fire incident, and monitoring Fire Alarm system.

·        Accountable for maintaining security & life safety assets in good conditions including First-Aid kit at the site.
