Data Center Infrastructure Operations Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Infrastructure Operations Manager with strong management capabilities and extensive experience in various disciplines to build and lead effective teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Recruit, build, and mentor high-performing teams.
• Operations Oversight: Manage Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) operations.
• Network Management: Utilize network management and monitoring systems such as SolarWinds, Nagios, and ManageEngine.
• Risk and Cybersecurity: Implement risk management strategies and possess cybersecurity experience.
• Security Documentation: Develop and maintain security and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation.
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM): Oversee SIEM solutions and manage firewalls, VPNs, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), malware, and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
• Network Design and Support: Design network campus switching and support multi-layer architecture switching, including network configuration and routing with BGP.
• Wireless and Telephony: Manage Wireless LAN and IP Telephony systems.
• Operating Systems Management: Oversee management of operating systems, including Linux and Microsoft Windows, Active Directory (AD), Office 365, Exchange, and SQL.
• Virtualization: Deploy, operate, and support VMware vSphere environments.
• Hardware and Storage: Manage computing hardware, storage solutions, and backup systems.
• Containerization and Automation: Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and implement automation and scripting solutions.
• Data Center Concepts: Familiarity with ANSI 942 standards, structured cabling, and telecommunications.

Additional Responsibilities:

• IT Infrastructure Focus: This role is focused on IT infrastructure and excludes data center electro-mechanical and logistics aspects.
• Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage stakeholders and handle incident and crisis management.
• Leadership: Lead with minimal guidance from upper management and foster a culture of safety, security, and compliance within the data center environment.
• Staff Development: Oversee staff development and training to maintain a highly skilled team.
• Project Management: Manage data center infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
• Vendor Management: Oversee vendors and contractors involved in data center operations.
• Performance Tracking: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data center efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Proficient in English and Arabic.
• Location: Based in Riyadh or Dammam, with the ability to frequently travel between both locations.
