Final Year Project - "Shoppywise": The culmination of my undergraduate studies was marked by an impactful Final Year Project conducted over two semesters. In Senior 1, we focused on building the software and creating documentation, incorporating principles from the Software Engineering course. This phase involved the development of Cash Flow and Use Case diagrams, conducting surveys, and formulating project plans. Senior 2 saw the translation of these plans into a fully functional web application named "Shoppywise." As part of a collaborative team of four members, our innovative concept revolved around offering shop owners a platform to establish and customize their online shops, eliminating the need for physical store expenditures. "The Wise Shopping" initiative included features such as shop customization, product addition, Point of Sale (POS) systems, multiple payment options, delivery services, and job applications within the platform. Technical Implementation: Technologies Used: Developed from scratch using NextJs, ReactJs, NodeJs, MongoDB, ExpressJs. Leveraged Cloudflare CDN for content delivery and Redis for caching. Hosted the project on Google Cloud, ensuring scalability and performance. Machine Learning Integration: Incorporated machine learning for a recommendation system, search parsing, and sales forecasting. Role and Contribution: Took charge of the Frontend development, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly interface. Contributed significantly to the development of APIs, particularly those related to shop creation and handling HTTPS requests through REST APIs.
